My initial idea is a girl who is has no emotions/feelings, and kills people because she doesn't know what's right and wrong. Her parents are rarely home so she's almost always been alone. The genre of my opening is a horror, in which i have looked at 3 other horrors: Silent Hill, Eden Lake and The Descent.
How i'm going to start it is at the end of the film offering an immediate sense of disequilibrium. Then i'm going to pull the viewer back to the start of the film, in which the girl has already made her first kill, which we don't see but we are encouraged to associate the shots of the dead body with the girl. We later are encouraged to get the feeling that she is being followed as someone finds the dead body but isn't shocked. And later we the girl entering her home and checking if she's home alone or not, who then invites some friends over.
My piece is very mise-en-scene particular, i have tried to limit on what the girl wears, eats and looks like, as she has no emotions i am trying to keep it all very plain, like a black costume all the time, and the piece of plain bread.
