Finished Product
My finished product belongs to the horror/thriller genre. I kept with a conventional dark opening to make the genre clear.
If i were to say something about my product is that there isn't really anything significant about the disequilibrium, but i hope that i have made the antagonist/protagonist clear through use of mise-en-scene.
If i were to compare it to any other opening i would say its similar in ways of lighting and cinematography, it would be Silent Hill. Also in my opinion the acting could have been better, the actress was really stiff and not very flexible but i think that kind of acting fit the role as the protagonist/antagonist has no emotions within the opening so, the stiff acting helped in a way.
I think that the titles are very related to a horror/thriller genre.
Before making posting the final product i looked back at my primary research and decided to change a few things, i took some parts of the film out so it responded to the feedback that i received back about the opening to Silent Hill.
If i look back at my primary research they said that the dark opening helped add to the atmosphere but still didn't make it scary, but in my opening was wasn't intending to scare my audience but to introduce them to the protagonist/antagonist. They also said that the introduction to Silent Hill was a bit confusing with the disequilibrium appearing at the opening of the sequence so i made a late decision and took out my begging disequilibrium.
Hopefully with my protagonist/antagonist being of a similar age to the target audience they will feel more attracted to watch it, but i will ask people on their responses and post feed back.
